Puppy Questionnaire

Best Viewed in Internet Explorer

Serious Inquiries ONLY

Please Read Entire Section Below, Before Completing Our Questionnaire.....

To some, this screening process may seem

intrusive, but please know this is only for the

benefit of the puppy and the potential buyer.

As a responsible breeder it is my duty to screen

potential buyers to ensure that the puppies that

I have worked so hard to breed and raise will

enter into a home where they are loved and

cared for.  You should also be aware of the

positive and negative characteristics of

the "German Shepherd Breed"

They are not for everyone.

A sound German Shepherd makes an

excellent companion. An unsound

German Shepherd is a disaster waiting

to happen. In addition, they are strong

in body, spirit, and mind. They need much

attention, love and firm guidance as

they grow.

I don't want my puppies to end up in a rescue

or dog pound.  This is a life time challenging commitment.   All of our litters are raised indoors

and fed premium food.

I agree that I am not party to any agreement, or

company subject to any legal obligation,

that being used for pet testing, transferring

said puppy to someone for reasons not

otherwise discussed with breeder.

In addition, I agree that I am not party to any

agreement,  or company  subject to any legal

obligation working for a third party company

for any reasons of fraud and deception intended

to harm breeder or said puppy, that has not been

 fully disclosed to breeder.

Each puppy will leave us with the following:

  • Immunizations - including, Parvovirus (DHPP) Canine Distemper, hepatitis, adenovirus type 2 and parainfluenza.
  • Puppies will have been de-wormed three times (at 3, 5 and 7 weeks).
  • Weeks of socialization, love, love and more love.
  • Puppies will be started on potty training and some will know sit, come and may be able to shake before leaving us.
  • Complete book on tips for raising a German Shepherd.
  • Copies of pedigrees including Import Pedigrees (if applicable) on both parents.
  • OFA Certificates on both parents.
  • AKC papers on your new pup, providing they have been returned to us in time from the American Kennel Club.

A non-refundable deposit of  $200 is required to hold a puppy, with exception to #1 below.

1) Deposit will be refunded if: The desired sex of puppy is not available or a "healthy puppy" is not available. It will be at Sellers discretion to determine what is a "healthy puppy". Finally deposit will also be refunded if conception does not take place, or in the event of a miscarriage. Seller ultimately has the right to retain any puppy who’s health may be in question as determined by Seller.

This form will help us better understand what

you are looking for in a pet and aid us in matching

one of our puppies to your life-style and

requirements.

Because each German Shepherds personality differs, each need guidance, structured training

and a great amount of socialization with children,

adults and other dogs this is vitally important.

Meeting and socializing with dogs of all

shapes/sizes is a must at an early age.  I highly recommend each puppy and new owner attend a "Puppy Class" with a  reputable

"Puppy Class"  instructor.

Please complete the following information and

click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of

the form.

Thank you for your inquiry!

Some of the Most Common Reasons Dogs

End Up In A Rescue or a Shelter...It's Not

The Dog, It's The Owner

I can't control him My child/spouse has developed allergies to our dog
Barks at other dogs My dog won't stay in the yard
Won't "mind" me I just don't have time for my dog anymore
My dog is peeing all over my house My dog bites the children when playing
Always runs off on me! Goes After Other Dogs
We are having a baby Always Gets in the garbage!
Tired of putting up with him/her! I'm being transferred to another town/state

PLEASE   READ  - A POST   FROM   A

RESCUE   REGARDING   ABOVE

"MOST owners that are wanting to surrender

their German Shepherd are just giving up on the

dog.  Having no value or respect for the

wonderful loving and loyal dog each and every

one of them are capable of becoming.

They are giving up on a wonderful opportunity

to build a trusting, loyal relationship with their

German Shepherd.

You brought this dog in to your life, and at that

time, you had every intention of keeping it the rest

of it's life.  Well... that dog had every intention

of spending the rest of it's life with you too.

Why do you think your dog is so devoted and

gives you unconditional love every single day.

A dog will ALWAYS give you more than you

give it.  That's just how dogs are and why those

of us who don't give up love our dogs so much.

We get back ten times what we give them.

In so many cases, the only problem the dog has

is LACK of  leadership... someone to make

the effort and take the time to change the

situation.

Some GSD's are of ill-bred temperament..

But you combine not so great temperament with

lack of time, fair, consist leadership, and the

dog soon learns to behave in a way that is

unacceptable and becomes uncontrollable.

The dog's behavior is the responsibility of the HUMAN.  All dogs look for leadership in their humans.  You can't expect dogs to behave

unless YOU yourself have LEARNED

how to TEACH them what is acceptable.

Educate yourself and train your dog to know

what your expectations are, the dog will learn

quickly.   GSD's are a VERY

intelligent breed...

And honestly, most of the training is for

YOU!   GSD are the loyalist of loyal dogs and

are respectful of those who have earned it.

So think about it... don't you think YOUR dog

is worth the effort?  We  do."

If you feel you cannot abide by the responsibilities

of raising a "german shepherd puppy" please

do not complete this questionnaire.  You are

best suited  to search for someone that breeds

for the money and will not support you

throughout the lifetime of your puppy and

will sell a puppy to anyone.  I am serious about

the  lines that I breed and I am very selective

who they are placed with.

All This Being Said..... All of my Puppies will

be treated  as part of the family.  If they are

harmed in anyway, mistreated or left to fend

for themselves, there will be consequences be it

legal or monetary.

All my puppies leave me socialized, handled,

exposed to all walks of life ready to begin their

lives.  Please do not give up on them and destroy

their character, personality and loyal nature I

have strived to preserve.

Be sure you are capable in all ways to take on

this responsibility.  These animals have so much

love to give and are an enormous amount of

work.  Let's stop the mistreatment of animals

and sending dogs to rescues and shelters.  My

final words... God Bless the rescues and

no-kill shelters that give these dogs what

they need to thrive and continue living.

"Rudy"

Rudy the day we re-claimed him,

skinny, sick and hopeless......

Beautiful "Rudy" was re-claimed by us after living a horrible life bouncing from home to home.

Unfortunately after ending up in the hands of

a un-ethical, irresponsible individual,

(a breeder) who was ready and threatening

to send him to the Humane Society,

we re-claimed him.   Rudy was found to

be emaciated and sick.

Rudy was rescued

by an extraordinary human being

and friend, Thea.

Today, Rudy shares his wonderful life with

a local Sheriff's Deputy, neighbor and very

dear friend.

Remember, a puppy is only cute for a few months.

My ultimate goal is placing puppies in forever homes.

A dog is a life time  commitment and are not disposable.

So please be sure before you complete the

questionnaire below...thank you...
